I mentioned that I was a volunteer driver for the local paramedic service, it is run by Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and they respond to most of the towns in the local area. This page is mainly just so I can post pictures I've gotten from other people or taken myself. The paramedic service the hospital supplies is slightly different from how it is done in many other places, L&M does not operate any ambulances, but operates intercept vehicles that respond with the local ambulance and then the paramedic climbs into your local town's ambulance to ride with you to the hospital. If you click on the picture below it will take you to the hospitals web page for the paramedic program.

The page doesn't tell you much but I figured that I should give them the plug! I mentioned I volunteer as a driver for them, it is an interesting experience and the only requirement is that you be an EMT. You will gain a new respect for how the paramedics operate after seeing them work for a while.
